John A. Dinkelaker R.Ph. Education: 1966 Graduate of Wyoming High School. 1971 Graduate of the University of Cincinnati School of Pharmacy Experience: After graduating from college, I worked for Gluecks Pharmacy, Stewart Pharmacy and Gehring Pharmacy before purchasing Obert Pharmacy in 1977. I renamed it Wyoming Pharmacy and then merged it with Schwallie Pharmacy in 1985. My wife Donna, also a pharmacist, and I bought Kunkel Pharmacy in 1987. Pharmacy Interests: I am very interested in providing our patients with the highest quality pharmaceuticals available as well as being able to compound special formulas through our new Tri-State Compounding Pharmacy. In addition, I enjoy being able to offer our patients pharmacy care in the areas of immunizations, laboratory tests for cholesterol and diabetes as well as education programs covering many health topics. I am fortunate to have a knowledgeable staff of professionals working with me. I will continue to offer the highest possible customer service in the industry. Personal: Married to Donna Dinkelaker, R.Ph. We have 3 sons together, Jared, Jacob and Tyler. I also have 2 daughters, Sarah Thompson and Susan Dinkelaker.
Tom Wynn R.Ph. Education: Bachelor of Biological Science from Northern Kentucky University 1991. Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science University of Cincinnati 1994. Experience: I spent thirteen years at a prominent chain pharmacy. I decided to make a change when my views no longer coincided with the vision of that company. I have spent the past three years at Kunkel Pharmacy and helped launch Tri-State Compounding Pharmacy. Pharmacy Interests: I have become very passionate about pharmacy compounding. Traditional medications don't always allow the patient the choices needed to meet their treatment goals. There is not one pair of shoes for every person, why should there be only one medication choice? I enjoy personal fulfillment helping others feel better when options seem exhausted. I also enjoy the personal contact and getting to know our customers as part of our extended family. Goals: I would like to continue to educate myself and to make my patients' quality of life better due to better medication management. Personal: I am married to Sharon Wynn M.D. We have two wonderful daughters, Hanah and Sarah, that keep us quite busy.
Education: Graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy with a dual degree in pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy, Magna Cum Laude) and business (Masters of Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude in 2003). Experience: After graduating in 2003, I started working for Kunkel Pharmacy. I am also a compounding pharmacist for Tri-State Compounding Pharmacy. Since joining Kunkel Pharmacy, I have completed continuing education in areas of hormone replacement, veterinary therapy and aseptic compounding. Pharmacy Interests: I want to be able to give our patients the best pharmaceutical care possible. Therefore, I am very interested in providing our patients with cholesterol testing, immunizations, and specially-formulated medications from our compounding pharmacy. I hope to educate both patients and physicians on the variety of therapies that are available to them. My specialized interests include hormone replacement therapy and veterinary medications. Personal: As a University of Kentucky alumnus, I am an avid UK basketball fan. I also like to watch the Chicago Cubs. In my spare time, I enjoy doing home improvement projects around the house. My wife, Sarah and I have a daughter, Alyssa, and we are awaiting the birth of our second child.
Education: I became certified in November 2003. Experience: I worked at a retail-chain pharmacy for almost 2 years (1999-2001). I came to Kunkel Pharmacy in May of 2001. I began working as a compounding technician for Tri-State in January 2004. Pharmacy Interests: I absolutely love to compound prescriptions. It gives me joy to know that I have helped meet an individual need - human or animal. I want to continue to learn more and discover new ways medications can be compounded.
Personal: I have been married to Scott since May 2002. We have recently become certified foster-to-adopt parents. We don't have any children yet but we can't wait to have them! We have a boxer mix dog, Boe, and a cat, Ruby, who we consider to be our "babies." Ruby was the first cat to be on Fluoxetine Gel. I guess you could say she was the "guinea pig." She has been off of the gel for a while and is doing great, thanks to Tri-State Compounding Pharmacy.
Sharon, CPhT. Education: Became certified pharmacy technician in 1994. Received Aseptic Compounding training at PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America) in Houston, Texas in July 2005. Experience: I worked for a mail order pharmacy for 5 years (1993-1998). I came to work at Kunkel in June of 1998 and started compounding at Tri-State in 2003. Pharmacy Interests: I enjoy compounding most of all. I like to make people and animals feel better. I hope to continue learning and working in the community I have lived in since 1992. Personal: I am married to Mark since March 1984. We have 2 boys, Matt, 23, and Eric, 19. I love animals. I have 4 dogs. I like to read and watch movies.
