We have recently added a sterile glove box to the specialized equipment that we use to compound our medications. With the new regulations (USP 797), our laminar flow hood that was used in the past for making sterile compounds would no longer be adequate beginning in 2006. To continue to serve our patients with their safety in mind, the glove box is a great addition to our equipment.

Chad, Pharm.D. and Sharon, Certified Technician, have recently attended a conference in Houston to get the latest on aseptic and sterile compounding. To stay on top of our industry, they have brought back much knowledge and information regarding our new glove box as well as other compounds that are prepared in a sterile environment.
